AMC Form Factor Tunable RF Module Successfully Launched

Signalion GmbH, Germany, has successfully launched the world’s first tunable RF module in AMC (advanced mezzanine card) form factor, the AMC-SRRM.
“After our first announcement in January and the following shipping of lab samples our sales of the AMC-SRRM has been rising beyond our expectations. It was clearly a gap that Signalion has filled by providing the first tunable RF module in AMC form factor. We have requests in the fields of cellular communications and satellite communications as well as test and measurement”, says Tim Hentschel, Managing Director of Signalion.
The AMC-SRRM is the world’s first off-the-shelf module in AMC form factor for RF processing. It comprises one transmitter and one receiver path. Beside the RF processing it contains AD and DA converters as well as a digital processing unit for front-end processing tasks. Particular care has been taken to provide means for synchronization to realize MIMO systems with a virtually unlimited number of antennas.
